Lost Desktop, start button & task bar

I updated with windows updates, & uninstalled Google Desktop then restarted.

I can log all the way in but nothing is on the desktop, I can use task

manager & get into most things. I have tried the task bar fix from

Kellys-Korner, nothing. I have looked & all of the profiles are there. It

does tell me when I start up that something didn't start but I can not go to

the event viewer to find out what it is. I'm useing windows 2003 server any

ideas what happened, I even tried to look for a way to restore it but can not

find anything like that to help.
