my computer unexpectedly quits while browsing through network shar

i have several computers on the network that just quits and restarts while

browsing through network shares. all xp machines have sp2 and i have already

contacted ms for the particular fix in kb831938 and it wont run on machines

after sp2

 

is there another fix for this?
