Give it up...you've already lost. You're dragging a dead horse around

the race track and even if you cross the finish line you're still riding

a dead horse.

Game over it pal and you've lost and you're a loser.

Live with it.

Sure, copyright still applies, but who in their right mind is going to put

resources on suing someone for selling software that is 20 years old? Uh, no

one? (Especially when one considers that 99.9% of the population will not be

able to successfully install said software. You got an EGA card laying

around?) Stuff that old gets offered and purchased as "collector" items.

And... the point was that the op claimed there was no "official" version one

of Windows, when, in fact, there was.

Honestly, no dis' intended, I don't think one could get Windows 1.01 running

in a VM. If one manages that feat, let me know.

Well... sounds good... if I had an old enough version of DOS, I'd give it a

shot, because I couldn't install on a physical PC with VGA card and DOS

6.22.

The "extra notes" column would normally mention if any extra steps were

required (See "Windows 286") which mentions modifications to DOS 6.22

which are needed.

Going from memory, it should work with 6.22, although I've not

personally done it -- The usual recommendation would be to install an

older version of DOS.
