Windows Server 2003 R2 activation issue

I've got a W2K3 R2 Standard server on which license activation occasionally

"breaks", and reactivation is necessary.

 

It has happened a few times that the server becomes unavailable (users can't

log in), and I have to re-activate the server.

 

The specific event id's that appear in the applciation log are 1000,

followed by 1011.

 

When this error occurs, I have no difficulty re-activating the server

online, via the activation wizard.

 

Any thoughts on why this occurs, or possible solutions?

 

 

Event ID 1000

 

An error occurred while the wizard was checking the current Windows product

license. Error Code: 0x80040507

 

Followed by:

 

Event ID 1011

 

Your Windows product has not been activated with Microsoft yet. To activate

Windows, use the Product Activation Wizard.
