I seem to have the only perfect copy of Vista Home Premium in

this sector of the Milky Way. It's fast, efficient, safe, and

reliable, and is fully compatible with everything that ran under

XP. In four months I have not crashed even once!!

That means I'm missing out on all the fun of complaining and

sharing the Gates Hates. What can I do to trigger some blue

screens and get on the anger bandwagon?

Help me break this Vista installation so I can shift to Ubuntu

and give up half the functionality of my laptop...

Many others have no problems but most have no reason to complain so little

negative is seen from them.

Your actual problem is you don't like being called a pompous little

shit that has flights of anger every time you are caught making as ass

of yourself or factually misstating something which you do quite a

bit. The good news you're not as screwed up as Frank. Yet.

I suppose you could give up half the functionality by shifting to Ubuntu,

but you certainly would not have to.

Hey, I have the same problem. I would post my longstanding 10.0 Reliability

Monitor rating, but images aren't appropriate here.

Well, those with no problems have no reason to post here looking for help.

Or complain. So they probably compirse the Silent Majority.

I also have a relatively trouble free system. The only app I've found so

far that does not run in Vista is NetStumbler. However, there are

alternatives available that fill its role for me.

I wouldn't say Vista is fast, the file copying problem is well documented

and discussed. It runs apps as snappily as I'd expect on this specific

hardware, now that I feed it TWO megabytes of RAM, compared to how it ran in

XP with one meg.

Here is your answer: This is my spoof post about the true sales of vista

People who have vista= 1.000.000

20 Percent of that are people who got a "vista ready" pc with XP installed

and were promised a copy of vista that they never touched because its a pile

a do doo.

18 percent are people who got vista with a new machine but were fed up with

it and formatted and installed XP

12 percent are people that installed XP on a second partition with Vista and

boot to vista only from time to time. Real work is done on the OS that

really works:XP

40 percent are people who pirated vista because they would never really pay

for such crap, or live in a 3rd world country and the cost of vista is what

they make in a year!

5 percent got free copies of vista due to participation in the beta programs

and other offerings so its free and they use it despite its crappyness

4 percent are tech geeks that need to have vista to experiment and learn so

they have it on a test machine but they use a real OS like XP Linux or Mac

so what is left? There is the 1%

Half of those are mentally retards that have way of knowing what they are

using.. so they dont count

that leaves us with 0.5 %

80% of those are reading the forums and starting to feel that they made a

mistake with vista.. they are starting to sweat

that leaves us with 0.2%

Half of those are Microsoft Employees that need to use it OR ELSE

that leaves us with only 0.1% that have vista and actually like it!!!

0.1 % of a million is 1000 people.

That 0.1% comes to this forum and spews lies about how stable and great

vista is!

That 0.1% is actually telling all the rest of the 99.9% that they dont know

what they are doing!

If you belong to that 0.1% you have the right to your opinion. But of course

you are wrong!

So put a sock in it already and start listening to the complaints are

realize that your dream machine is a worthless piece of monstrous crap!

The silent majority are nominally first time owners with

more recent equipment, the rest are usually gaming fans.

NetStumbler works fine in Vista, although a specific Vista edition

has been available for quite some time now.

ah..then you don't know about the integrated virtual desktop,

perhaps needing more ram before it kicks in and gives speeds

roughly equivalent to XP..when it should run like lightning.

On a modified hand made Vista applications pop up and run

faster than you can move your mouse...and with only 512mb ram.

I wish I did.

I'm so sick and tired of Vista doing the not responding crap I'm ready to

try Linux. ok maybe I'll just go back to xp.

I was having so many of them I bought a new MB and went from 64 bit to 32

bit version and it seems to have greatly helped but it still happens but for

shorter periods.

I still haven't reactivated and I'm hoping they don't give me crap for

getting a new MB because I heard that was one of the things that could

require a new license.

I pity the poor India dude on the phone that dares to tell me I need a new

license!!

Mine never had a 10.0 even on the first day!!

After install I checked it for kicks and it was at 9.5 and I had just

installed the OS! LOL actually it was 24 hours later but the graph started at

9.5 and went down from there.
