maxxLogan Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 occasionally when resuming after hibernation, I have no system beep, bios image, or any other display activity. Lights on the case come on (as does the optical drive light which unnaturally remains lit during these rare instances) so I know the power switch is working, the cpu and case fans come on also. Only consistent way to successfully boot the machine after this has happened is to remove power plug and drain capacitors by holding the power button for 10 seconds or so. Any ideas for troubleshooting? Quote CPU: Phenom II X3 720 Unlocked Motherboard: GA-MA790X-UD4P Graphics Card: Radeon HD 3600 Memory: 512MB Hard Drive: Hitachi 320GB 7200RPM Optical Drive: L.G. FPCH Admin AWS Posted December 26, 2009 FPCH Admin Posted December 26, 2009 There is a bug with hibernation in Windows 7. The best thing I could find to do was to disable it in poer saving settings. Since I disabled it I haven't had any problems. Sleep works fine. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
