blingjug Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Installed windows 7 retail last night after using xp for 6 years now. all seemed to be going well. Alas, the same issues as with vista have begun to crop up. 2 devices in particular are devoid of drivers either by windows update or the manufacturer. More urgently is the printer driver, i have a cannon pixma ip4000, but cant seem to download drivers from anywhere for it to work on win7 x64. I have it installed and shared on my Windows home server. the manufacturer isnt very supportive, software addons are provided for win7 x64, but no driver? Tried a few cannon driver links and all end up with only a 'driver addon' which does not actually have the drivers AFAIK - PIXMA iP4000 The other drivers i cant manage to get are for my winfast tv2000 xp tv card. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance! 1 Quote
FPCH Admin AWS Posted November 4, 2009 FPCH Admin Posted November 4, 2009 Here is what I gathered after reading the page. It seems the driver in Winodws 7 is installed. You need that addon to make the printer work. Seems strange to me, but, does make sense. For the tv card I came up with this page: Leadtek - We make dreams a reality Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
