butcher72 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 hi, on a w2008 iis7 machine, i installed the webdave extension(WebDAV Extension : The Official Microsoft IIS Site), i rebooted but when i check my iis default web site home feature view, there is no webdav extension. someone an idea?? thanks in advance Quote

eternity Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 WebDav for Windows Server 2008 doesn't work - 0x80070043 error I've created SharePoint web site and have installed and configured WebDav for it (Windows Server 2008) I receive the following error if I try to 'Map Network Drive' for site via Windows Explorer (steps 31-33). "Error code: 0x80070043 The network name cannot be found" I perform the following steps for configuring webdav. 1. Start the Server Manager. 2. Select the Roles node in the navigation pane. 3. Scroll down to Role Services in the Roles pane. 4. Verify the Windows Authentication role service is installed. 5. Select the Features node in the navigation pane. 6. Click the Add Features link in the Feature pane to open the Add Features Wizard. 7. Select the Desktop Experience feature. 8. Click the Next > button to continue. 9. Click the Install button to confirm the installation selection. 10. Restart the server. 11. Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 12. Expand the server node in the Connections pane. 13. Expand the Site node in the Connections pane. 14. Highlight the SharePoint site where 15. Double-click the WebDAV Authoring Rules module in the Content View page. 16. Click the Enable WebDAV link to enable WebDAV on the current site. 17. Click the Add Authoring Rule link in the Actions pane to open the Add Authoring Rules dialog box. 18. Select the All content option in the Allow access to radio group. 19. Select the desire option in the Allow access to this content to radio group. 20. Select the Read and Write permissions. 21. Click the OK button to close the dialog box. 22. Click the Back button to navigate back to the Home page. 23. Double-click the Authentication module in the Content View page. 24. Verify that Windows Authentication is enabled. 25. Close Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 26. Open Windows Explorer. 37. Right mouse-click the Network node in the Folders navigation pane to bring up the context menu. 31. Select the Map Network Drive menu item. 32. Enter the SharePoint site URL in the Folder: text box. 33. Click the Finish button to complete. If you are faced with such problem, help me please with recommendations Quote
