Guest Maxiel33 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Hello, I'm trying to install Windows XP SP3 on my old laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-B5201) When I tried to install it, bsod popped out with acpi.sys error and I've read muliple articles about it and I need to have something about EFI or SATA enabled but this laptop's bios is so bad and unusable I can't enable it. (Pic of bios View: https://imgur.com/hUZz2Vp ) I've also read that I need to install some chipset drivers, in windows installation it asks me about raid/sata is that something that it needs to work? FPCH Admin AWS Posted May 28 FPCH Admin Posted May 28 Try these steps to see if it fixes the issue. Enable ACPI in the BIOS settings - if it is already enabled, you may try disabling it and test.
