Posted May 28, 2024May 28 Hello, I'm trying to install Windows XP SP3 on my old laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-B5201) When I tried to install it, bsod popped out with acpi.sys error and I've read muliple articles about it and I need to have something about EFI or SATA enabled but this laptop's bios is so bad and unusable I can't enable it. (Pic of bios View: https://imgur.com/hUZz2Vp ) I've also read that I need to install some chipset drivers, in windows installation it asks me about raid/sata is that something that it needs to work? May 28, 2024May 28 FPCH Admin Try these steps to see if it fixes the issue. Enable ACPI in the BIOS settings - if it is already enabled, you may try disabling it and test. Disable all non-essential devices from the computer and test. Post back if that doesn't help. Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
