Hello, I'm trying to install Windows XP SP3 on my old laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-B5201) When I tried to install it, bsod popped out with acpi.sys error and I've read muliple articles about it and I need to have something about EFI or SATA enabled but this laptop's bios is so bad and unusable I can't enable it. Try these steps to see if it fixes the issue.

Enable ACPI in the BIOS settings - if it is already enabled, you may try disabling it and test.

Disable all non-essential devices from the computer and test.

Post back if that doesn't help.
