Posted May 23, 20231 yr Introducing Document Translation in Language Studio - a user-friendly UI experience designed to simplify the process of translating rich documents. With Document Translation in Language Studio, users can take advantage of the powerful Azure Translator service through a streamlined interface. Since it is a web app, users can access the feature across multiple operating systems & browsers, making it a convenient and efficient solution for document translation needs. Plus, with Azure Active Directory (AAD) authentication and the ability to use existing Azure accounts and translator resources, users can scale and control usage with secure data handling. Enterprises can adopt this ready-to-use UI consumption experience across their organization by simply authorizing specific employees or employee groups to access the Translator resource. In addition, the feature allows users to translate documents directly from the local storage. This hides the complexity of uploading the source documents to cloud storage before translation. The locally uploaded documents are stored within the user’s configured storage account, ensuring their preferences on regional data residency, privacy and security are met. Likewise, the translated documents could be either downloaded to your local system or stored in Azure blob storage. For more customized translation results, optional settings include the use of custom translation models for context-specific translations or glossaries to enforce and skip translation. This flexibility allows customers to tailor the translation service to their specific needs. How to use this experience? Prerequisites: The experience requires the users to complete a one-time configuration to use the experience. Users need two Azure resources: Translator resource. Azure storage account. Once you have the above two, configure the following: Step 1: Enable system-assigned managed identity on the Translator resource. Step 2: Add ‘Storage blob Data Contributor’ role to the Translator resource on the Storage account. Steps to use the experience: Sign into the language studio using Azure credentials.
