Guest Javier Soriano Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Over the last few months, we have been working hard to bring the Microsoft Sentinel experience to Azure China. Microsoft Azure operated by 21Vianet (Azure China) is a physically separated instance of cloud services located in China. This allows customers in China to adhere to local regulations. Today, we are happy to announce that Microsoft Sentinel is now available in Public Preview in the China East 2 region. This means that customers in China can now leverage the advanced threat detection and response capabilities of Microsoft Sentinel to protect their cloud and on-premises workloads. Even though Microsoft Sentinel is still not available in other Azure China regions, customers can deploy their Microsoft Sentinel workspace in China East 2 and still send telemetry from other Azure China regions to that workspace. Microsoft Sentinel is a scalable, cloud-native solution that provides Security information and event management (SIEM), Security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), User Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and Threat Intelligence (TI) capabilities. With Microsoft Sentinel, you get a single solution for attack detection, threat visibility, proactive hunting, and threat response. It ingests data from multiple sources, such as Azure, Office 365, and third-party security solutions, and applies advanced analytics to identify suspicious activities and anomalies. It also provides a centralized view of security events and incidents, enabling security teams to quickly investigate and respond to threats. In the following article, you can see a comparison of the all the Microsoft Sentinel features available in Azure China cloud in comparison with Azure Commercial cloud. We have focused our efforts on features that are Generally Available in Azure Commercial, but we will continue to innovate and add more features in the coming months.
