Microsoft didn't want to brand Viva Sales as "Dynamics" because it also can work with other non-Microsoft-developed CRM platforms. Viva Sales will be available for no additional charge to Dynamics 365 customers and will have out-of-the-box integration with Salesforce through Dataverse APIs, Viva Sales will provide support for additional CRM systems. Microsoft is looking to provide more out-of-the-box integration based on customer demand in the future. Viva Sales is all about automatically capturing customer data. This data can easily be shared with team members while collaborating in Office and Teams without retyping or looking it up in a CRM. So, Microsoft Viva Sales turns Microsoft 365 into smart sales assistant. Additionally, it allows salespeople to skip data entry. Microsoft 365 applications will automatically collect data, allowing salespeople to focus on selling and connections. Another aspect of Viva Sales is its ability to provide real-time transcription, sentiment analysis and conversation insights to help guide a salesperson through the call. Embedded AI creates a transcript of the meeting and captures a list of action items eliminating the need for a salesperson to take notes. It also improves the overall capabilities of new sales team members by surfacing timely insights such as the next best action to take during a meeting, when to follow up and what product information to send as part of a follow-up. Viva Sales is built on Microsoft Power Platform. Viva Sales data is stored in Microsoft Dataverse in addition to the connected CRM. When Viva Sales is connected to Dynamics 365, Viva Sales data is stored with the Dataverse instance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. when Viva Sales is connected to a non-Dynamics 365 CRM like Salesforce today, a default Dataverse instance that's specific to Viva Sales will be provided to your tenant. Viva Sales data is stored in the default instance in addition to your CRM. With the benefits and features of Viva Sales, sellers can: Sign into their CRM system from Outlook. Create a new contact in their CRM system. Contact information is prefilled by using an email signature if it's present. View account and opportunity information from within Outlook.
