Introducing Teams Classwork: The One-Stop-Shop for Managing Your Class Resources

We are excited to introduce you to Classwork - our new curricula management app in Teams for Education coming in June! Classwork is designed to help you streamline your lesson planning process and organize your class resources more efficiently. Classwork is a one-stop shop to create and organize class resources, including Assignments, OneNote Class Notebook pages, web links, files, and Teams channels. This means you no longer have to navigate multiple apps and platforms to find what you need. With Classwork, you can curate a view of content and resources that will help your students navigate the class and see everything in one place.

In Classwork, you can create modules of study to organize your course, such as by topics or weeks, and add descriptions to those modules. When you create modules, they won’t be visible to students until you choose to publish them.

You can then create new resources or add existing resources you’ve already created to your modules. For example, you can create a new Teams Assignment from Classwork or search for one you’ve already created. In this example here the educator is adding an Assignment from the class to the module.

You can drag and drop content to organize it within the modules to customize exactly how your students will see it. Once you have organized your resources within the modules, you can publish them to your students when you're ready. This makes it easy to keep your students informed of the materials they need to study and helps them stay on track.

You can even pin the most important module at any given time, making it easy for students to find and access the most relevant and up to date class content.

In the future, we plan to add reuse capabilities to the app that will allow you to easily reuse the materials you have created in previous classes or terms. This will save time and effort when setting up your Teams and allow you to improve your teaching and refine your lesson plans year after year.

 

 

With Classwork, you can spend less time organizing and more time teaching. We designed it to make your life easier by providing you with the tools you need to create, organize, and manage your class resources more effectively. Whether you are teaching in-person or online, Classwork is a valuable resource that can help you keep your class organized and your students on track.
