You can get the Internet Explorer 9 preview at Microsoft's site now. I've tried it and it is very fast. Of course this is a stripped down preview so it can be expected to be fast. What surprised me is IE 9 renders pages much faster than any previous version and much faster than Firefox.

No doubt they're doing some good things. I like W7 but I don't use IE.

I set it to block all the cookies one does have access to and disabled DOM storage.

(Because even if you don't use IE, regular cookies and flash super cookies are still stored)

That along with Granular cookie control in FF, No Script, Adblock Plus, No Referrer,

Better Privacy and WOT ext's give me the security and privacy I so enjoy when on the web.

 

Of course, none of these take the place of good judgment when surfing.)
