Using Azure serverless Functions and IaC to automate service creation

Thursday 22 September 2022 | 12:00 PM BST/ 7AM ET/ 7PM HKT

Register Now: Microsoft Reactor | Microsoft Developer

This session is part of the 'Solve real-world problems with Microsoft Azure serverless and IaC' series

This series will teach you how to use Cloud Development Kit for Terraform (CDK-TF) and Microsoft Azure serverless services. First, you will learn how to build everything as code, and we will teach you how to solve several real-world problems with just Azure Functions and short-lived Azure container instance. All projects covered in the series are opensource.

What is the session about?

This session will cover our project “Azure Cloud Lab Environment”. This is an Azure Serverless solution to create and destroy Azure services based on a calendar event. We will use it to create a tailor-made Azure environment for each student subscription to use. We will briefly introduce the Azure services involved in this project, the technique behind the scenes and how to use Infrastructure as Code (CDK-TF) to create other Infrastructure as Code solutions at scale.

Who is it aimed at?

Azure users who are interested in Infrastructure as Code and serverless. Any user looking for an Azure solution to manage many Azure subscriptions at once.

Why should you attend?

You will learn the design thinking and concerns of using Azure serverless.
