I was used to seeing a number that alerted me to the new posts. It has now disappeared.

I take that back. After I click on mark forums read, the number changes to a lower number but it never becomes zero.

Also, I can't see to find an edit button I only have Report, Quote and Reply so I can't correct my above post. :help:

You have to cluck on What's New and in the drop down menu, click on New Posts, Liz.

That will reduce the post count.

AS for the Edit button, I don't have one either.

I've let Bob, our forum owner know.

I did that and it went down from 19 to 18 but it won't go below 18.

I repeated it just in case I had to do it 19 times to reduce by 1 each time. It didn't reduce it below 18

I am having the same issue the number will not drop below 18. Even after doing Mark Forums Read.

I am not having a problem with the post count, once I read the new posts, the number drops to 0.

I'm sure that Bob will fix any glitches with the new software.

You have to click on the New Posts in the drop down menu of What's New.

Once you read the posts, the number will drop.

Logged, keep trying to lower the number. Changed from blue to red then back to blue. When I got here today it was at 31.

Here's what it is after I Marked forums read 2 or 3 times. Next step, trying a different browser.

Firefox doesn't show the menu items; I have to click to see them. I don't like the way FF renders this

I've tried Vivaldi and I'm now on Internet Explorer. Vivaldi and IE at least render better than FF ESR but all 4 browsers, no matter how many times I click to mark forums read refuse to drop below 25.

I suspect the number will just keep increasing for me every day that I visit.

It must be something in my profile since all 4 browsers show the same thing when I log in. (I have never used Vivaldi nor IE here).

I am not having any problems with it either but I think both Rusty and Liz are.

Yes. In fact since I don't use the other browsers and clean history of Vivaldi every time I close it, I suspect there is no browser cache.

I've also shut odd uBlockOrigin and allowed everything in noscript. Neither made a difference.

Today I was at 34 and marking all forums read lowered it to 30.

I disabled the theme I was using - no change. I checked cookies at two spots and they expire at the end of the session so when I log out, they should be gone.

I've opened and closed my browser quite a few times and I've clear the browser cache - again.

I'm now stuck at 34. And I suspect it will just keep increasing. If I mark forums read it lowers 1 or 2 but still higher than when I left.
