peterr Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 I have 'memo' on my phone where I keep items like car tag #'s, and other things one is likely to forget and need. How do you back memo up? Samsung Galaxy S5 Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted December 1, 2017 FPCH Admin Posted December 1, 2017 Hi Peterr, Everything I read recommends using Smart Switch for backing up Memo. peterr Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 It seems they abandon Kies for smart switch but it handles S 6 and I have S 5. I'll try though and thanks. I'd buy knew but these are still getting security updates and function as the day I bought them, new. I can exchange batteries too. I don't think the backup and restore covers memos. I have them in my PC for now but the method is laborious. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted December 1, 2017 FPCH Admin Posted December 1, 2017 It should work on the S5 and it should also backup Memo. Smart Switch will recognize the data on your old device and start moving it to your new one. ... *The new backup and restoration functions also help you move your personal data (contacts, schedules, memos, messages, and call history), photos, videos, alarms, bookmarks, and miscellaneous preferences in a simple way. peterr Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 You are correct. I wonder if it is better to use Smart Switch or the Android Backup and Restore that comes with the phone? Mine is always enabled. I'll check further. Quote
