peterr Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Anyone with Comcast? My home page loads then immediately reloads. It's a year old issue I keep reporting. Win 10 Pro, Edge and Chrome, no other issues. Sent feedback for what it is worth. Quote
plodr Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 I have Comcast but don't use it as my home page. I also don't run Win 10. So I don't use Edge and I refuse to install Chrome on any Windows computers. It is on my Android tablets but I don't use it there either. Quote

Hi plodr- Comcast still loads twice with the pcs not the Chromebook or phones. Speaking of Google, I used to be totally Windows and hated Google everything. Since we have android phones and a Chromebook, I cannot say enough for the security we have experienced. Between https, the lock, the encryption and two step verification we feel secure even on WiFi. I have ambivalent feelings with all their power and attitude like big brother as far as what you can put on an SD card etc. I am using Windows for me and Google for my wife. It is actually an easy balance as her business is on Google Drive and my Domestic notes are on Onedrive. I was wondering why you do not like the current Chrome, It coordinates the phones and Chromebook along with the PC so well. It is no longer a resource hog and is very fast. Explorer seems to be a dinosaur and Edge is fickle. Google search has a larger data base than Bing. Help me out here in case I am in muddy waters. Thanks Peter 1 Quote
plodr Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 peterr, I have always been a Mozilla person. In Windows and linux, I used Firefox and now I'm using Palemoon and Cyberfox. One distro I like has SeaMonkey so I use that. I briefly installed Chrome in Windows and then used Revo to uninstall. I just don't like it. As far as Android, I use the AdBlockPlus browser (I don't want to see google ads which you can't block in Chrome). I'm also trying Brave browser which I read was very good. Quote
