I cannot stand the new Outlook.com.

Does anyone else care for it?

I may have to switch back to Yahoo.

Haven't tried the new Outlook until just now. I signed in with my MS account. No mail in the Outlook email. Clicked on getting started. It asked if I wanted to import contacts. I clicked Yes. It brought in my contacts. Problem is I don't know where it found them. That's scary. I think Outlook.com pulled addresses from my gmail account which was open at the time.

Anyway, what is it you don't like about the new Outlook.com?

The text is gray now instead of black.

There used to be a box next to every email in the inbox so that you could check it off for deletion.

Now you have to hover over everything with your mouse in order for it to appear.

That includes the ribbon with New, Delete, Archive, Junk, Move to etc.

Cindy, do you not have a gmail account? Why bother with Outlook at all?

I've had this Hotmail account for ten years.

I don't want to give it up.

I have never cared for the gmail user interface.

They should have kept the check boxes. Can you select several messages using the Shift or Cntl keys?

These new developers have been doing away with black and moving to grey. I really don't like it. Makes it hard for the text to stand out. We had a guy speak at one of our Mac user group meetings. He said developers are doing this to make it 'softer' for the user. Just like they've made keyboard keys look like Chicklets. Remember them? Soft. nothing hard.

I will stay with GMAIL.

Had it for some years and used to it.

Never had any security issues like Yahoo.

Besides if it is in gray, I would never be able to read Outlook, anyway.
