peterr Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Hello Is this compatible with Windows 10 and Chrome and Edge? Would you recommend it? TY Peter Quote
DSTM Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Hi Peterr. After reading some of the reviews, I wouldn't have it on my computers. You don't need it. http://www.computing.net/answers/security/rapport-security-software-avoid-using-it/28295.html I also read of big problems trying to uninstall. FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted September 24, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted September 24, 2016 I agree with Dougie. It also has issues running along side some of the better known security suites. There's a good read about it at Bleeping Computer. peterr Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 I was getting another opinion b/c I could not believe a program so well advertised and so vital could be so destructive. They may as well say, "We will protect your bank but your computer will not run well." TY 1 Quote
starbuck Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 To be honest, I hear nothing but problems with this software. This article sums up my feelings about it: Is Trusteer Rapport Worth the Effort? Quote
peterr Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 Thanks again; it is not for me. I'm surprised they are still in business. Quote
starbuck Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 "We will protect your bank but your computer will not run well." Maybe that's their thinking....... If you are unable to use your computer, your bank details will be safe. :) Quote
peterr Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 There are a couple of other apps that boast security at he bank but I don't know of any that are without complications, do you? It would be a comfort to have something that beefs up security. Quote

peterr Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 That was an interesting read and I take the words of the experts seriously. I do think there is a foolproof way to do O.L. banking either. I think the FDIC does refund some of lost money in the states. Personally, I take the risk as I am not wealthy. At $.50 a stamp it is too costly to lick stamps anymore. I think there are many areas in life that are dicey and this is one but, I think if you are careful, the odds of safety are with you. What is your take? Quote
