DSTM Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I have a Logitech HD Pro C920 Webcam I get a big popup every reboot (Device not recognized) Every single time I reboot, I lose the drivers completely. Windows7 SP1 x64 bit This is weird. Any clues? Thanks. Bill M. Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Not really a clue, but it sounds like something on your machine is wiping the drivers when other processes are being ended prior to shutdown. Quote
DSTM Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Thanks Bill. Looks that way but what on earth would do that I wonder. Bill M. Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Anything on computer #1 that's not on computer #2? Quote
DSTM Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 They are not the same unfortunately. Prob about 30 programs more on Computer 1, Bill. It's losing the Logitech Driver on shutdown. Bill M. Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Dougie, I read a thread somewhere that unchecking "allow the computer to turn off this device on shutdown" under properties for USB ports solved this problem for the OP. 1 Quote
DSTM Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 That fixed the driver issue. Many Thanks, Bill. I would have never thought to look there. 1 Quote Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm Schizophrenic, and so am I Free Photo Restoration and Repair for all Forum members - CLICK HERE Please pop back and let us know if your Computer problem has been solved.
