Peter N. Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I used to come here and had a user name and password. It now says I am logged in but have no password. That's ok but out of curiosity has this site hanged in the last year. I tried logging in but it would not accept what I have typed for site passwords. I am not complaing as I can use the site without logging out and do not have to keep track of another password, but am curious. Peter Quote

peterr Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Hello The password is all set and thank you. I have used .WIM for DISM options and find my Macrium image is a bit large. Would it be that .ESD is compressed more than mine? TY Peter Quote
DSTM Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Hi Peter. I really can't follow what your saying. Could you explain in more detail? please. I am trying to work out what your actually trying to do. Are you trying to gain access to the raw WIM disk image file data and re-create the file with Macrium? peterr Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I use .WIM files so I can maximize the DISM commands; it is more versatile. In imaging my system I was just wondering if my image is larger than .ESD as the latter is compressed. It really answers itself but it just dawned on me that one is more compressed than the other.
