mikehende Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Hey guys, I had worked on an Acer machine which HDD showed a full but could not see any large docs, files, pis e.t.c anywhere on the HDD. I did see a file named "PC" which as a whopping 297GB file but when i tried to open it it kept asking to "connect to the disk on which the files are located". Does this mean that file might have been an image file of another pc please? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted August 18, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted August 18, 2016 You usually see that when you are trying to access files on a network or when a third party program has created image files. It sounds like it could be image files, possibly from the Acer machine that you are working on. mikehende Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 This pc's license came with win7 Home but Pro is installed, I am guessing they had made a backup of either OS and that is why the file was that large? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted August 19, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted August 19, 2016 It sounds like it. Can't you ask the owner? Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
mikehende Posted August 19, 2016 Author Posted August 19, 2016 Owner is not pc savvy, it's not an issue, I was just curios. Quote
