mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Hey guys, I tried a few tutorials but not seeing how to get to the Internet options in Internet Explorer, help please? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted July 29, 2016 If you don't have the menu bar showing in Internet Explorer, right click anywhere above your address bar and select Menu Bar. Once you have your Menu bar showing, click on Tools and select Internet options. mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 I tried right clicking everywhere at the top and sides of the address bar but not getting a menu bar option. Please the screenshot attached and advise me if you can on exactly where I should be right clicking please? Quote
FPCH Staff Tony D Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Staff Posted July 29, 2016 Adding to AllHeart's advice, you can find Internet Options in the Control Panel. Quote
FPCH Staff Tony D Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Staff Posted July 29, 2016 Also try ALT-X when in IE. That should bring up the Tools menu. 1 Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted July 29, 2016 You are using Microsoft Edge, not Internet Explorer. In Edge, you click the "Hamburger" icon. I don't use Edge because it feels and acts unfinished to me. In Win 10, I use IE. mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Yes, you're right. Since according to my research there is no way to uninstall it, I tried installing IE 11 but the exe is not opening, how can I use IE instead of edge please? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted July 29, 2016 Internet Explorer is already part of the operating system but in Windows 10, you have to turn it on. Click on the Control Panel. (You can access it from your Start button.) Click on Programs and under Programs and Features, click Turn Windows features on or off. Select the Internet Explorer check box and click OK. You might have to restart your computer. 1 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 I checked the box and restarted but still only edge is showing Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted July 29, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted July 29, 2016 Go to Search and type in Internet Explorer. It will bring IE up and you'll have to set it up. During the settings process, be sure to make IE your default browser. You can drag IE to your task bar as a short cut after it's set up. mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 Did everything, restarted but edge is still there Quote

DSTM Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I can't see what Mike's problem is,Cindy. I am thinking Mike is using the Cortana screen (getting confused) instead of asking in the Tile screen In the Tile screen when you type "Internet Explorer" a blue internet explorer box appears with "Desk App" under it. All I did was Right Click" on it and chose "Pin to Task Bar" It worked for me. 1 Quote Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm Schizophrenic, and so am I Free Photo Restoration and Repair for all Forum members - CLICK HERE Please pop back and let us know if your Computer problem has been solved.
mikehende Posted July 29, 2016 Author Posted July 29, 2016 That video did not work. Don't know about cortana screen. On the bottom of my screen is the start tab, next to it is contana showing "I'm cortana. Ask me anything." Quote
DSTM Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 You didn't read my post,Mike. You type in the Tile screen.
