Thanks for that. I consulted Fakespot on an Amazon purchase I was considering (men's boots). Fortunately, Fakespot said the reviews were "trustworthy".

 

btw: the Amazon reviews were pretty much negative, I then checked out a similar product, It was more expensive and had higher ratings at Amazon. Fakespot said those ratings were also "trustworthy"

That's interesting, do you think that FakeSpot is not in itself trustworthy?

Need more data points.

I check multiple sites and read all the reviews that sell that product.

Then I make my own judgement from data collected.

I wouldn't trust one website like Fakespot.

Never heard of them till now.

We don't know what possible kickbacks are involved.

They must be generating an income, but from what source we don't know.
