Hey guys, how can I get win10 home and pro OS to have on hand for installing on pc's please? I only want the basic OS software and not the product keys. Since all previous versions were available online for free I am thinking there should be an option for this?

You can get the media creation tool as well as the Windows 10 setup HERE

The link actually includes all versions, Mike.

Hmnn, seems I am missing something cindy. the Media Creation Tool only gave me the option to download the 64bit version and it just shows as 'downloading windows 10' and doesn't say whether it's home or Pro edition?

As Cindy said in post #4, it includes all editions. I suspect that when you do the actual installation, it'll ask for the product key. You'd enter the key and it'll install the edition associated with that key. Haven't tried it myself, but that's how my Vista install-all disk works.

So if I am understanding cindy's post correctly now, by choosing "both" this will install all versions 32 and 64 bit of both home and pro, can you or cindy confirm please?

Yes, you will have to choose the 32 or 64 bit version and it will recognize whether to install Home or Pro.

Meaning all of the versions in one iso download?

Yes, they should all be in one ISO.

I had read a while back that win8 will recognize which win8 software is needed and install with no need to manually type the product key, isn't it the same with win10?

Thanks for confirming Cindy. I don't automatically agree with everything they tell me on the MS forums which is why I double check here.

So it appears to me that win8 and win7 works a little differently when it comes to the reinstall and licensing procedure?

Win 7, you usually have a product key located on a MS sticker, available. (Not so with 8, 8.1 or 10.)

That's exactly what I had told that person but I am thinking somethings in win8 are not the same as in win10. For example from what I am being told

"in order for Windows 8 to be reinstalled and activated the version installed must be the same as originally installed and must be an OEM copy from Manufacturer. Retail copy or digital download will not activate. Other option would be to purchase a new Windows 8 license of the version desired"

is the above info accurate?.

I don't know that I agree with the must be OEM copy. I haven't run into that problem at all.

The only exception to that would be Dell computers.

Point in case, that info had also come from the MS forum a while back but thanks for confirming. So to sum up would you say both win8 and 10 work the same exact way regarding reinstalling and product key?
