Google gave everyone a sneak preview of its Google Home smart home appliance, entering a market that Amazon's Echo has already begun exploring. But are you ready to have a passively-listening device available for simple digital chores?

    I know two people, both techs, who have Amazon's Echo. They both love the device. Only one has it set up to control lights and temperature.
