Posted April 21, 20168 yr Hey guys, I I reloaded Vista and I am trying to find the touchscreen driver for this machine, the touchscreen is working but I cannot click on and open anything with it. PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7160&SUBSYS_0F551461&REV_03 I am being led to an 'Asus' drive here, can anyone tell me if that is the correct driver please? http://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/pegatron-tv7160e-capture-device/driver-detail/4896818C36E445DAA43115B9EA49805A/771820/1c170fa5481519d6909e0ac3f8d34473/106162329/PCI%5CVEN_1131%26DEV_7160%26SUBSYS_48B51043
April 21, 20168 yr FPCH Admin That is the correct driver but I don't trust the web-site. Why not get it directly from HP? http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-TouchSmart-Desktop-PC-series/3733137/model/3747432/drivers/ ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 21, 20168 yr Author I had tried all drivers on the hp site which I can see relates to the touchcreen which is only one driver, the 'HP TouchSmart Touch Optimizer Update' driver?
April 21, 20168 yr FPCH Admin Have you tried this.....? Let HP identify any out-of-date or missing drivers and software How does HP use product data collected with this service? Check now You can find the scanner under Software and Driver Results. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-TouchSmart-Desktop-PC-series/3733137/model/3747432 ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 21, 20168 yr FPCH Admin If you click this link....http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-TouchSmart-Desktop-PC-series/3733137/model/3747432, the HP scanner will scan the system (in question) for missing or out of date drivers. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 21, 20168 yr Author Doesn't work on my end, when I click that link it only directs me to the 'Software and results' page. I am thinking it may be due to a problem I am now seeing which is when downloading anything on the pc itself, it downloads but won't open when I run the exe file.
April 21, 20168 yr FPCH Admin That is a completely different issue. If you go to the HP website and enter the computer model and click on Software and Drivers, it will take you to the scanner. Click on Check Now. This video is for Windows 7 but it should work with Vista as well. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 21, 20168 yr Author I see what's going on here, on the pc itself the 'check now' orange button is not there but I am seeing it on my work pc.
