FPCH Staff Tony D Posted April 19, 2016 FPCH Staff Posted April 19, 2016 Trying to get a solitaire program for a Windows 10 machine. Microsoft Solitaire Collection is installed. I have it pinned to the taksbar. I'd like to add a desktop shortcut. Haven't figured out how to do that. I can't even find the program on the hard drive. Where did MS hide it on W10? Anyone know how to create a desktop shortcut for Microsoft Solitaire Collection on Windows 10? How about any other free solitaire programs for Windows 10? Quote

I can't help you with the rest but the Microsoft Store has solitaire collections for Windows 10. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/microsoft-solitaire-collection/9wzdncrfhwd2 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
Digerati Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 How about any other free solitaire programs for Windows 10? I personally don't like the way any of the W10 games work - having to go through the Microsoft Store and all. If you liked the games in Windows 7, see Get Windows 7 Games for Windows 10. Ignore the "RECOMMENDED" link to fix Windows. That's just an ad for the free site to get some revenue for their efforts. I also cannot live without the Quick Launch toolbar. Although since Windows 7 it has been hidden by default, Microsoft left it in there. The same site, Winaero, also has great instructions to enable it again. If you drag up the bottom task bar to make the clock 3 lines high (which also enables viewing the day of the week - great for retired people like me who can't remember what day it is), you can move Quick Launch to the bottom row, then drag your commonly used shortcuts, including the games, to there for easy access. So, for example, this is what the right half of my Taskbar looks like: 1 Quote Bill (AFE7Ret) Freedom is NOT Free!
