Anyone heard of Soluto? Found it on a W8.1 machine I'm working on. This is a new one on me. Looks like another free app that optimizes your start up. The reading I've done says it's a PUP. Don't know how malicious it is.

I had Saluto at one time. Tells you what is slowing your Boot time down.

Records your every Boot time.

I found it a Pain and got rid of it.

My Scans never picked up the program as malicious.

Thanks Dougie. I don't know why people worry so much about boot time. Get a snack and just let it boot.

Or a coffee.LOL

A long time ago, we had a thread running here comparing our Boot times just out of interest.

We all installed Soluto to test our Boot times..

Cindy may remember. I think it was back in Windows7 Days.

Yes, I do remember. It was something that we all did for fun.

It was an interesting thread.

Completely agree.

I do have to laugh at the ones that install extra programs to alter the boot time and then say it was worth it because they've shaved 20 - 30 seconds off the boot time!!!

They must be in such a hurry. :)

Seems you are both right ... sort of:

It's not unusual for malicious files to use the name of legit files.
