Posted April 4, 20168 yr FPCH Staff Anyone heard of Soluto? Found it on a W8.1 machine I'm working on. This is a new one on me. Looks like another free app that optimizes your start up. The reading I've done says it's a PUP. Don't know how malicious it is.
April 4, 20168 yr I had Saluto at one time. Tells you what is slowing your Boot time down. Records your every Boot time. I found it a Pain and got rid of it. My Scans never picked up the program as malicious. April 4, 20168 yr FPCH Admin Yes, I do remember. It was something that we all did for fun. It was an interesting thread. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 4, 20168 yr I don't know why people worry so much about boot time. Get a snack and just let it boot. Completely agree. I do have to laugh at the ones that install extra programs to alter the boot time and then say it was worth it because they've shaved 20 - 30 seconds off the boot time!!! They must be in such a hurry. :) The reading I've done says it's a PUP. My Scans never picked up the program as malicious.
