A user of mine running XP on an ancient system is having Facebook issues -- he can see all the pictures in the ads but none of the pix anywhere else -- posts, avatars, etc. Any thoughts what setting needs to be switched to fix this? I've written to Facebook support twice -- not even a note to tell me to go away.

Thanks folks.

What browser is he using, IE or Firefox?

To follow up on Cindy's question.... A lot of sites don't support old versions of IE.

Plus Facebook has now switched to using HTML5 as a default for web videos that appears on its News Feed, Pages and the embedded Facebook video player.

Using Firefox will help to get around this.

Agreed definitely use Firefox on an older OS like that for a few reasons. One, for modern website compliance and compatibility, and two for security reasons which are compounded when using something as old as Windows XP.

Thanks all! Now I can give my kids and grandkids another excuse not to

rejoin Facebook (quit a few years ago). As long as my XP computer

and Firefox survive, even a free offer of a new MAC or Windows 10

computer would not sway me. ;)
