FPCH Staff Tony D Posted March 10, 2016 FPCH Staff Posted March 10, 2016 I used to be able to right-click (maybe left-click, I don't remember) the bottom left corner of my screen to get a context menu that allowed me to get to the Control Panel and more. Now I'm getting the context menu that comes when right-clicking on a blank area of the desktop. Windows 10 just went thru an update. Anyone else seeing this? Quote
starbuck Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Hi Tony, On win10 i can still get the context menu by right clicking on the start button. If you don't get this, there is another way to get the same menu up. A keyboard shortcut....... windows key + x Quote
FPCH Staff Tony D Posted March 11, 2016 Author FPCH Staff Posted March 11, 2016 Thanks Starbuck. I must have had a brain fart. I screwed up thinking that I should right-click in the bottom left corner. Problem is I have my Start button on the top right. If I right-click on the Start menu, I do get the context menu I expected. Also, thanks for the keyboard shortcut. Nice. I'll probably be using that more often as I prefer keyboard shortcuts to having to grab a mouse and hunting for something to click onto. Quote
starbuck Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I use that shortcut all the time. It saves a lot of searching. ☺ Quote
FPCH Staff Tony D Posted March 11, 2016 Author FPCH Staff Posted March 11, 2016 It just hit me. Most of the computers I work on have the taskbar on the bottom. I must have gotten use to that. Then when it came to my machine I was throne. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 11, 2016 FPCH Admin Posted March 11, 2016 Isn't the task bar on a Mac on the top right, Tony? Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
FPCH Staff Tony D Posted March 11, 2016 Author FPCH Staff Posted March 11, 2016 On a Mac, the taskbar is on the top as you said. I don't think you can move it. Quote
