The executives at your cable company might not always show it, but they love you more than you’ll ever know. You pay your television and Internet bill on time each and every month, but that’s not why they love you. Cindy.......There's one problem that may occur. If i purchase a new modem/router & there's a technical problem unrelated to it, the cable company may charge me for a service call since it's not their modem/router i'm using.

I've never had that happen yet but I suppose there is always a possibility.

Good post AllHeart. This is a topic I've been watching. The cable companies are ripping you off. Buy your own modem and router. Then save on your bill.

I used my own modem and router with Comcast for many years.

About four years ago we upgraded to the X-1 platform and the modem/router is included with the package.

(Or so they say.....)

Those that use Comcast as their isp, are you satisfied with them or have you gone over to a different isp?

I have always been satisfied with Comcast.

The only thing that I can honestly say that I don't care for are their prices.

I think that my bill is exorbitant.
