mikehende Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Hey guys, I reloaded vista on this compaq presario sr2170nx desktop. It's missing th PCI simple communications driver, looking at the driver page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/Compaq-Presario-SR2000-Desktop-PC-series/3339270/model/3340206 I am not seeing a chipset driver or the PCI driver, help please? FPCH Admin AWS Posted December 18, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted December 18, 2015 It looks to me that those drivers are supplied by Windows. I have seen this many times. The chipset and pci drivers are reliant on the Windows builds. Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
mikehende Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 So how do I solve this problem please? Everytime I restart it's asking for that driver. Quote
mikehende Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 Also I am not seeing a display driver on that page? The internet is working fine but youtube video is choppy. Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted December 19, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted December 19, 2015 If you select all Windows updates and let it roll, Windows should supply the needed drivers, Mike.
