starbuck Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Microsoft is widely expected to release the first major update to Windows 10 dubbed Fall Update this month. And it could happen as soon as next week. According to a software engineer at Microsoft, the company plans to roll out the update on November 10. Commenting on a user’s query regarding Cortana’s release in India, Ashish Sondhi, the aforementioned engineer noted that the feature will arrive with the “November” update. It is not exactly clear whether he is talking about the monthly security update dubbed Patch Tuesday or the impending update, but considering the new update also brings in features, it is likely the latter. As for what to expect in the new update, previous reports suggest that the company wants to smoothen the rough edges in Windows 10. However, it is also expected to add a number of features. For instance, users could get the ability to add an extra column of Live Tiles in Start menu. The Messaging and Skype Video apps for Windows 10, moving along, are expected to get native Skype calling and messaging support.
