Guest Terry Myerson Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Today I had the pleasure of joining ASUS Chairman, Jonney Shih onstage at ROG Unleashed in San Francisco. Jonney and team introduced the new Republic of Gaming (ROG) hardware line- up, built exclusively on Windows 10. Incredible new gaming devices were showcased, including the all-new ROG GX700, ROG G752, and ROG G20 Compact Desktop PL. Our team has worked closely with ASUS to develop these new great gaming PCs. ASUS was able to test, work with our engineering team, and use DirectX 12 technology early in the development process to make the most of this advanced technology in their new hardware. Gaming is core to our commitment to deliver innovative experiences and devices with Windows 10. The best Windows we’ve ever delivered for gamers, Windows 10 offers innovative features like Game DVR, an Xbox app, and DirectX 12 technology to deliver unprecedented speed, performance and graphics. We’re incredibly excited about the great games coming to Windows 10, including the biggest games from Microsoft Studios, including Halo Wars 2, Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, and more. We’re seeing faster adoption of DirectX 12 than ever before. Microsoft Studios titles Fable Legends and Gears of War will light up with DirectX 12, and leading game engines including Unreal, Unity, Oxide and many more are already supporting DirectX 12. And of course, Solitaire is back in Windows 10 – already there are 7 million people playing over 300 minutes per month on Windows 10! We’re blown away by the amount of gaming we’re seeing on Windows 10 with over 143,000 years of games already played since launch. With new hardware like the ROG line-up and all-new games coming soon, we look forward to seeing many more of you gaming on Windows 10. Next week we’re off to Asia to unveil more Windows 10 devices with our partners. Terry Continue reading... Quote
