Posted August 31, 20159 yr Hello My Dell XPS 8300 x 64 has 4 slots for memory. Currently it is 1,2,1,2 = DDr3 To upgrade to 8 GB can I keep my 2 - 2GB sticks and just get 2 sticks each with 2 GB? If so can I arrange them so I put the 2 new 2's where the 2 old 1's were? As long as they say DDr3 - 2GB is that sufficient to buy the right ones or should they say more? Thank you
September 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin All you have to do is pull out the 1 gig sticks and put in the new 2 gig sticks. It will work fine. Nope they should say 2 gig and I believe that box takes ddr3 pc2700. Another Forum - Unlike the Rest
