Lenovo B570 laptop booting problem

Hey guys, windows 7 unit which the owner says he suspects has virus but he also told me that his company checked for viruses but did not locate any, I ran a few virus scans but those did not produce anything. Symptoms are when I boot, it sometimes goes to windows but takes a long time and just doesn't get to the desktop, it is hanging after the logon screen. In safe mode it goes to desktop in normal time and laptop functions as normal, any ideas why it works as normal only in safe mode but can't reach the desktop in normal mode please?.

I disabled everything from startup [msconfig], there is winmagic data security software installed which loads after the logo screen and needs a password . Hardware diagnostics shows passed on everything. It's now averaging 2 minutes from the time I press the power button, enter the winmagic password then enter the windows password till it gets to desktop, I am thinking this should be normal loading time? If yes, the shut down is still takes a few minutes.

I just spoke to the owner, he confirms that 2-3 minutes is normal startup time so that's good but yes, I agree and would like if Pete can confirm, I have the laptop until tomorrow afternoon so hoping Pete will see this please for help.
