Katrina Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Does anyone know how I can get rid of the upgrade for windows 10 notification icon in my taskbar? I'm really not ready to tackle something like windows 10 yet. I just got used to windows 7. Help me please? Quote
starbuck Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Hi Katrina, I moved your post to the Win10 forum. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the upgrade for windows 10 notification icon in my taskbar? My post here should explain this for you: How to reserve your free upgrade or get rid of the 'Get Windows 10' notification Killing the process with task manager removes it to. (It doesn't show again after restart). I'm really not ready to tackle something like windows 10 yet. Even accepting the notification doesn't mean you have to install it. When it's sent to you, you still have 12 months to actually install it. Quote
Katrina Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Thank you starbuck. This is good information to have. Quote
Plastic Nev Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Elsewhere Starbuck has also found that if you do install Windows 10 and then find you don't like it, you can actually roll back to Windows 7 Here is the link Starbuck found that explains how it is done. https://techingiteasy.wordpress.com/2015/03/24/how-to-rollback-to-a-previous-version-of-windows-from-windows-10/ Hope you don't mind me posting this Starbuck and hope I am still on your friends list. 1 Quote
