Hi Katrina,

I moved your post to the Win10 forum.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the upgrade for windows 10 notification icon in my taskbar?

My post here should explain this for you:

How to reserve your free upgrade or get rid of the 'Get Windows 10' notification

Killing the process with task manager removes it to. (It doesn't show again after restart).

I'm really not ready to tackle something like windows 10 yet.

Even accepting the notification doesn't mean you have to install it.

When it's sent to you, you still have 12 months to actually install it.

Elsewhere Starbuck has also found that if you do install Windows 10 and then find you don't like it, you can actually roll back to Windows 7

Here is the link Starbuck found that explains how it is done.

Hope you don't mind me posting this Starbuck and hope I am still on your friends list.

I think I'm going to stay with windows 7

You still have plenty of time before M$ stop supporting Win7........January 14, 2020

So you'll be fine for nearly 5 years.
