Apple may be looking to expand their presence in San Jose, with the company reportedly looking at new properties in the area

Apple already has a presence in San Jose, but the company is reportedly looking at two new properties in the area, to meet their growing space needs. The properties that Apple is reportedly looking at feature space for offices, research and development, and some light industrial work, according to Silicon Valley Business Journal:

Apple has been shopping at least two major projects: Ellis Partners' 300,000-square-foot 101 Tech on Orchard Parkway and Hunter/Storm's Coleman Highline development site near the Mineta San Jose International Airport, according to industry sources. The latter could include more than 1.5 million square feet of office, research and development or light industrial space.

Apple is currently building out their Campus 2 in Cupertino, which expected to be completed by 2016. Without more space to lease or on which to build in Cupertino, the company has had to look elsewhere in the area to house certain divisions, such as Sunnyvale and Santa Clara, with San Jose being another logical place for another expansion.
