April 8, 20159 yr Nothing as long as you keep the computer you are connecting to a public network with secure there should be nop problems. I use public wifi all the time and never had any problems.
April 10, 20159 yr The issue lies in the fact that you are connected to a network with unknown clients. Being on the same network, those clients have a certain amount of access to your computer. The level of access is varied by machine and security steps taken by the owner. Are most people sitting in a coffee house elite hackers waiting to prey on your machine?
