Posted April 4, 20159 yr FPCH Admin I have been using Adguard for the past few days and I like it a lot better than Ad Block Plus. It has filtered all of the advertisements so far and it also tells you whether a site is safe or not. I have the free version and it does everything I want it to do. Adguard works with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. You can quite easily add filters in case there is a site that you don't wish to block ads. http://adguard.com/en/download.html?show=1&os=pc ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 4, 20159 yr FPCH Admin I found this the other day. I am testing it out. There is one problem that I've seen. If you visit a site for the first time ads show. On page reload they are removed. Maybe I missed a setting or maybe they have it to show ads on first visit to a site. This only seems to happen on sites I haven't been to in the past that are not in my history. April 4, 20159 yr Author FPCH Admin Hmmm, I haven't seen that yet. :D (It may be because I don't think I've gone to a new site yet.) I'll have to check that out, Bob. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 5, 20159 yr Author FPCH Admin Now that you mention it, N3, it looks as if there isn't actually a free version, just a trial one. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 5, 20159 yr Would you have to disable Ad Block Plus and/or Ad Muncher before installing the free or pro version of Adguard? In other words, can you use more than one at a time?
April 5, 20159 yr Author FPCH Admin I've been using it with Ad-Muncher, Lina. I don't know about using it with Ad Block Plus. It should be fine but I'll try it with all 3 on my other computer and let you know. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
