The Wild West-themed game Gunpowder explodes on the iPad for $4.99

Indie developer Rogue Rocket Games has launched its newest title, the Wild West-themed action-puzzle game Gunpowder, exclusively on the iPad today for $4.99.

Gunpowder has some similarities to the Angry Bird franchise, as players try to explode barrels of, well, gunpowder, with the objective to set fire to as much stuff as possible. Players control "Incendio", a fox with a Robin Hood-like zeal to help steal money away from the evil robber baron wolf Boss Grimshaw. Here's a quick summary of Gunpowder.

The first lesson in Pyrotechnics 101 starts with drawing lines of gunpowder with your finger. Players must then strategically place barrels to solve puzzles and discover surprise chain reactions through the use of numerous environmental objects such as flaming wagons, Gatling guns, chandeliers, cannons, mine carts and more! With the explosive tools at your disposal, you must recover the stolen gold and redistribute the wealth to bring order to the Wild West.

Gunpowder is a one-of-a-kind physics-based puzzle game featuring colorful artwork, a charming backstory and clever game design that is sure to appeal to gamers of all ages. With 125 unique levels, timed trials, numerous Easter eggs, unlockable achievements and the ability to compete against friends via Apple's Game Center, Gunpowder can be played many times over, as players seek to find the fastest and best way to solve each puzzle.
