Posted April 1, 20159 yr I reloaded win7 but the network controller and drivers from their page does not install, after downloading and running the exe's from their page here: http://support.toshiba.com/support/driversResults?freeText=3192780 they all don't open. I tried the Atheros LAN driver and all 3 wifi drivers [proset, atheros and realtek].
April 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin Have you tried the Intel Pro set, Mike? http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=3192780 ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 1, 20159 yr Author This is the device id from driver identifier but since no connection to the net I can run the scan : http://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/atheros-ar8152-pci-e-fast-ethernet-controller/download/47706808/0EF8EBE4F27749868AEA0185ABDF3698/PCI%5CVEN_1969%26DEV_2062%26SUBSYS_FF1E1179%26REV_C1
April 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin This should work for you, Mike. Go with the top one, it's the newest release date. https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=51&system=6 ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin You're welcome, Mike. I used the PCI database. http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendors.php?sort=id ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 1, 20159 yr Author Alright, let me see if I doing this right because I had tried that before posting here. I typed 1969 in the Vendor filed and that led me to "Atheros Communications" which led me to: http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendor_details.php?id=1659 ????
April 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin You also need the Device ID, 2062. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 1, 20159 yr Author Alright, please bear with me, I want to make sure I get this for future purposes so I won't have to bug you guys here. I type 1969 in the Vendor field and 2062 in the device field, if I click the Vendor Search, it leads me to this: http://www.pcidatabase.com/search.php?vendor_search_str=1969&vendor_search=Search showing only "Atheros communications", if I click on that it leads me to this page: http://www.pcidatabase.com/search.php?vendor_search_str=1969&vendor_search=Search The Device Search however leads me to a different page here: http://www.pcidatabase.com/search.php?device_search_str=2062&device_search=Search Which of the above options should I choose and how from there would I know to get to the page with the actual driver you led me to please?
April 1, 20159 yr FPCH Admin This is the option that you would choose.... 0x2062 Qualcomm Atheros AR8152/8158 0x1969 Atheros Communications I always input the vendor number and the device number to find the correct driver but it's not fool proof, Mike. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
April 1, 20159 yr Author Well right Cindy but problem for me is when I get to that page what do i do?
