March 29, 20159 yr FPCH Admin Hi Mike, The driver is identified in the bold font. Click the green download button. ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~

March 29, 20159 yr FPCH Admin Did you install the chipset for this notebook, Mike? ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
March 29, 20159 yr Author Yes Cindy, as normal procedure I always install the chipset driver first and restart. The driver identifier process led me to install the "Intel Centrino wireless-N 6150 driver, I tried a few from that page but it doesn't install. I am wondering if the wireless card in this laptop may be shot since the HDD was damaged too?
March 29, 20159 yr FPCH Admin It doesn't look as if you have the correct chipset installed, Mike. Try this one....https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility- ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
March 29, 20159 yr Author I had installed the only chipset showing on the Asus page, I am not understanding why that would be the wrong one?
March 29, 20159 yr FPCH Admin Sorry, Mike. Brain fart. I meant the wrong wireless driver. My bad. Have you tried this one? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/23723/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-7-?httpDown=http%3A%2F%2Fdownloadmirror.intel.com%2F23723%2Feng%2FWireless_16.11.0_s64.exe ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~

March 30, 20159 yr FPCH Admin It looks as if you need the ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities, Mike. You'll find it under the Utilities tab. http://www.asus.com/support/Download/3/342/0/1/NfIUlTRsPzAfvAA1/30/ ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~~~Robert McCloskey~~
