N3 Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I'm unfamiliar with virtual browsing. Are there advantages & disadvantages as opposed to using a standard browser? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 23, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 23, 2015 I think the biggest advantage to virtual browsing is that it's physically isolated from the computer's operating system. This prevents web based malware. You can also use it anonymously. N3 Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 If it's physically isolated from the computer's operating system why don't users use it all the time? It would appear to be a 100% deterrent against malware? Quote
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 23, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 23, 2015 That's a good question, N3. I don't know about 100%. I don't think anything can protect you 100% against malware. 1 Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
DSTM Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I can't see a real advantage using Virtual Browsing.:) If you have W.O.T. and good security software, that should be enough. Safe Surfing practice is most important.
