DSTM Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Have you had any funny Computer experiences? I just had a Senior Moment. I sit at a 6ft long computer desk and have two computers running, each with headsets. Got an email with a YouTube link from a friend and clicked on it. I had my headset on and no sound. Dam it was working this morning. Checked Utube volume slider (Full) Checked Speaker slider in task bar (Full volume) Checked other Utube links no sound. Went into sound properties and double checked everything was correct. Opened Skype and did sound check, Yes when I spoke the volume slider moved but couldn't hear the sound check. Idiot. I had the wrong headset on.:big_ha: 2 Quote Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm Schizophrenic, and so am I Free Photo Restoration and Repair for all Forum members - CLICK HERE Please pop back and let us know if your Computer problem has been solved.

FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 23, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 23, 2015 Good one, Dougie. It sounds like something I would do. :D I set up a Windows 7 computer in the middle room for my little granddaughter. I would find weird things happening on that computer as well as the Windows 8 computer in the next room over, the computer room. One computer would have notepad up with weirdly typed gibberish, the other computer would have 6 or more windows open or it would be shut down. One day my granddaughter was on the computer in the next room and she said, "Grammy, why did you turn my computer off? I was watching Giggle Bellies." Both of the computers had a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse setup and when you used the mouse on one computer it also worked on the other one through the wall. I've never seen anything like that before. DSTM Posted March 23, 2015 Author Posted March 23, 2015 That is really weird, Cindy. To actually work another computer through a wall. Bet your granddaughter is happy now her shows are not being screwed up by Grammy.:yikes::big_grin: 1 Quote Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm Schizophrenic, and so am I Free Photo Restoration and Repair for all Forum members - CLICK HERE Please pop back and let us know if your Computer problem has been solved.
FPCH Admin allheart55 Cindy E Posted March 23, 2015 FPCH Admin Posted March 23, 2015 Yeah, I had to swap it out with a Microsoft keyboard and mouse. Quote ~I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.~ ~~Robert McCloskey~~
GimboV Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Cindy I had that happen to a whole department. They thought they would be "cool" and ordered wireless keyboards and mice for everyone in the department. I got the call that a keyboard wasn't working and when I got there I was presented with the task of making the devices work on only one machine at a time. I laughed so hard on that one. Can you imagine trying to edit a document when ten other people have control of your keyboard :) 1 Quote http://www.extremetechsupport.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/5569ad19ed3164831fb4dda6815a627f.png']http://www.extremetechsupport.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/5569ad19ed3164831fb4dda6815a627f.png[/url]
