Nomad announces portable battery, charging stand for Apple Watch

Nomad has announced two accessories for the Apple Watch that will help you charge the device wherever you are.

The Pod is a portable battery charger for the Apple Watch. It features an 1800 mAh battery, which Nomad says will provide up to four full charges of the watch. The watch's magnetic charger sits in the middle of the device, with the cord wrapped around inside the Pod, plugged into a USB port. Pod has a standard USB-A port, as well as a USB-C port, like that found in the new MacBook. Pod comes in Silver or Space Grey aluminum, or black polycarbonate plastic.

Nomad is also making a desktop stand for the Apple Watch, appropriately called Stand. Made from aluminum, Stand holds the magnetic watch charger in a cradle. The charging cable can be fed through the back of the stand, eliminating clutter. Stand is available in Silver or Space Grey aluminum.

Both accessories will ship after the arrival of Apple Watch on April 24. Stand begins shipping April 30 for $59.95, while Pod ships June 15 for $59.99.
