How do I make a hard copy of my IE favorites folder?

Open Internet Explorer.

On the File menu, click Import and Export, and then click Next.

Click Export Favorites and then click Next.

Click Favorites and then click Next.

Type the name of the file that you want to export the favorites to.

I typed "My Favorites" as the name of the file that I want to export to & I received the following message.......Please enter a valid file name
Click on the Browse button so that you have the correct file path, such as....C:\Users\CindyE\Documents\bookmark.htm

What to do after I click the browse button & go to the correct file path?
Click on documents and then give your folder a name such as Bookmarks.

If you want to save them, you export them.

It comes in handy to be able to save your Favorites. This will work well for you Short, when you get your new computer.

You can export your favorites from your old computer to a flash drive and then import them to your new computer.
